Exzellenz is a maritime-tourism company formed in 2018 with the aim of filling the lack of quality boats in this sector in Olhão. We aim to promote a set of positive sensations in our customers, presenting a service of excellence. This objective is achieved, not only with state-of-the-art boats, but also with a team properly trained both in nautical knowledge and in communication with their clients.
Our Office
Ria Formosa is a nature reserve composed mainly of a lagoon in the south of Portugal, covering an area of approximately 18,400 hectares and extending across the municipalities of Loulé, Faro, Olhão, Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António. It is a unique lagoon system that is constantly changing due to the constant movement of winds, currents and tides, and has been considered one of the most beautiful natural parks in Portugal.
Its 66 km length, although protected since 1987,
still allows fishing but on the other hand it is a resting place for a large
number of migratory bird species as well as a natural barrier against the
Atlantic. It is protected by five barrier islands and two peninsulas: the Ancão
peninsula (which also includes the island mistakenly called Faro), the island
of Barreta or Deserta, Culatra Island (where the lighthouse of Cape Santa Maria
is located), Armona Island, Tavira Island, Cabanas Island and finally the
Cacela Peninsula.
